Sweet video.

But the Ruf RT12 is the ultimate weapon.

Name that awesome Porsche!

hint:
twin turbo, boxer 6, awd, 450hp and 14 lbs of boost!

(give up? it's a 959.. and I LOVE it no matter how funky it looks!)
..cuz in 3.5 seconds you can be at 60 mph, or spin all the wheels if you wanna!

959 was the cutting edge... but the current 997 will out perform it.

The RT12 is the new State of the Art.

Personally... i'll take a 69 911R or a 73 Carrers RS 2.7 anyday.

2.7? bleh on the motor, the looks are killer though. I wouldn't mind being handed the keys to a 3.2 Carrera, but forget the 996 cuz I'm not so hot on the headlights. Skip to the newest 997 though.. yeah, I'd accept that as a gift too.

My info doesn't agree with yours though, the 959 says 3.5 to 60, but even the 997 in S trim can only hit the 60 mark in 4.6 (that's over a second!) Of course if we're talking beyond pure speed, I couldn't quote any numbers on that. I'd bet the Cayman S would keep up with the both of them though, I think that's going to be the new hot ticket for Porsche honestly (price vs accomplishment)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't 1968 the last year for the 911R? They had the short wheelbase while 1969 was the first year to have flares. As for the RS...give me a true RSR and then I'd definitely be in heaven. Very Happy
