Need advice on an easy 912E engine rebuild on an engine with 82000miles, low power, one cylinder weak, and would like advice on obtaining a big bore kit 69mm german, having the heads worked, using the current fuel injection or webbers (what size?) no change in the cam. I don't need the emissions equipment so would like that to go, so probably webbers. Also, is there a good repair manual out there, Bentley or similiar? John.

Send your good cylinders to Jake Raby to be bored out to 96mm and he will send you the correct pistons. This gives you a 2.1L engine
Send the heads to Hoffman Auto Machine in GA to have the heads rebuild. He is the best in the USA.
Keep the Ljet but change the cam out to a Raby 9550 to cool off the heads and oil temps as the stock cams run hot.
Running right, this 2.1L is good for about 115-120hp up from the 95hp.

You can use the Bus book for most of the engine repairs, I am not sure about a Bentley book for 912E's.

Keep the FI if you can. You'll get more mpg, better throttle response and save yourself $500 that you can use on a cam and those 96's.
