I have a 1967 912 that needs new ball joints. Ball joints are very expensive for the early 912's. Does anyone know if later 911 or 914 A-arms that use less expensive ball joints will interchange?

No they do not interchange. To utilize the later style ball joints 69 and later, you'd have to completely swap out your A-arms, struts and housing, tire rods, brakes, and steering rack crossmember from a 69 and later. I plan doing just this from an SC but i just rebuilt my w/ fresh struts/polybushings/tie rods/ball joints etc. Some feel that when porsche went to a longer wheelbase, that tamed some of the 911's handling issues but many are starting to think it is the re-engineering of the front suspension that made a greater effect.

You would have to install a complete 914 front suspension as they have different T bar splines and other only 914 parts.
