I have a 1967 912 that needs new ball joints. Ball joints are very expensive for the early 912's. Does anyone know if later 911 or 914 A-arms that use less expensive ball joints will interchange? |

No they do not interchange. To utilize the later style ball joints 69 and later, you'd have to completely swap out your A-arms, struts and housing, tire rods, brakes, and steering rack crossmember from a 69 and later. I plan doing just this from an SC but i just rebuilt my w/ fresh struts/polybushings/tie rods/ball joints etc. Some feel that when porsche went to a longer wheelbase, that tamed some of the 911's handling issues but many are starting to think it is the re-engineering of the front suspension that made a greater effect. _________________ '68 912R - JDM STi v8 Spec-C |

You would have to install a complete 914 front suspension as they have different T bar splines and other only 914 parts. _________________ 70 Ghia Black convert-9/69 build date-stock w/133k 1600 SP-barn find now with a rebuilt tranny and engine
