Hey folks,
Has anyone else had a problem with black mold spots forming on the fuzzy inside of their pop top? Living in Oregon and having a few leaks I now have a nasty bunch of black mold spots inside the bus on the fuzzy headliner type surface on the pop top. I guess my good news is it has not affected the canvas. But anybody know how to remove the mold without removing the fuzz, that would be a mess, thanks in advance for your help and all the things I have learned lurking here....

I would use bleach for pop top mold.
Mold stains is special, there are dedicated products wether it is for moldy concrete or fabric. I can't remember brand names.
I hope you'll get better help from true mold fighters.

I have found that bleach works the best out of everything, Some of the products that are just for mold removal are not storng enough to remove the mold quickly. I used a spray bottle filled with bleach and water and it worked very well. Make sure to keep the bleach off of anything you dont want effected. You may want to wear a resperatior when doing this as bleach is very nasty to breath in tight quaters.

I don't know what type of poptop you have, but my 74 Westy is smooth plastic on the inside, no 'fuzzy' stuff.

Fellow Oregonian here with the same problem. I've tried cleaning it off but I still have some stains. I'll give the bleach a try once the rain stops...
