I removed this snap top off a smashed 66 westy in the late 80s. It was on the roof where the fiberglass hatch normally was . Is this a real OG westy piece? Or is it an aftermarket top? Thanks! Wheelie pete

I'm gonna go with homemade .. never have seen one from Westfalia Werke like that

There were a bunch of snaps on the roof that it snapped onto to. I'm not sure if they were screwed or riveted on

A Campmobile with that home-built cover would have leaked and gone down like the Titanic during a drive in solid, driving rain... "Abandon ship"!
