| i have a rail buggy with a water cooled 1.6 liter vw engine. my engine serial number is xb898817 what year,model,...anything about it ......help me please |

The XB is the engine 'code,' which usually tells you a little about the engine itself(displacement, car, HP, etc); the 6 digits after it are merely production numbers for the engine itself, like the VIN on a car.
I checked with a buddy at a dealer, and we couldn't find the XB engine code.....possibly not a US-market engine? We did find XR and XS, which are 1.5l Dasher engines.
