We've got a 1980 Euro spec Vanagon here with a 1600 dual port engine from the factory. I need a vacuum line diagram and would like to source a new carburetor for it. Carb is a 34-PICT-4 similar to the 1974 California Autostick Beetle. Any sources? Thanks

the PICT4 can be replaced with a PICT3 and vacuum diagram from a car the uses similar configuration can be used.

I was thinking of doing that and just eliminating the gazillion vacuum hoses etc. I have to take a better look at the carb top when it gets back here as I swear the fuel hose has two fittings and passes right thru the top and goes to the pump. I could probably just use the PICT-4's top on the -3 carb

Don't know much about the PICT4. What is their advantage/disadvantage?

Wowsa!

That has to be the Bestest and Cleanest 1600 CT engine I have ever seen in a T25/T3.

Here in Blighty they are a 'Marmite' kind of engine ..
