in my very slow process (budget woes) of disassemble my 75 bus. i ran across a item it a black box up front it ties into the speedometer cable and has three wires coming out. beings i does not have cruise is it for the removed fuel injection

service interval indicator i think it is called. supposed to tell you it is time to replace something.

it is called the EGR counter. It counts mileage on one or more of the EGR, CAT and O2 systems and gives you a warning light when it is time to take it in for a check up. Here is an article on it http://www.ratwell.com/technical/EGRBox.html
