which way do the rubber washers go? flat side against mounting hole?

also the clip item number two in the diagram. what does it do? don't see one on my blade mount? also while I am asking what seals the pivot shaft from water going down it into the cab? sorry for all the questions! this forum is a life saver! or I should say fkup saver:D

It's the first pic you posted - The small hole seals the hole in the body.
Flat side against flat washers

#2 holds the shaft so it doesn't slide out of the threaded piece.
You can barely see it at the top of his photo, above the threaded portion.

Image 1 is correct.

Clip 2 keeps the bushing on the pivot shaft.

You can just make out the clip in the below image at the forward end of the bushing:

You can carefully remove the clip and slide the shaft out of the threaded housing for cleaning and lube, try not to stretch the clip too much and be careful it doesn't launch across the shop into the abyss.
