I was going to bring the bug to the paint shop and I found somthing odd. It seems my toe bar is to small for the front tube. It fits my 60 vert. Is it possible to put a later front end on an early car? Dues it matter ? The numbers match.

did you remove the zerk fittings? tubes diameter is same. your 62 should be a king pin / link pin front end. sometimes the zerks wont let tow bar go on.

zerk fittings are just the grease fittings on your beam tubes. check and see if the towbar is hitting them when you try and put it on. My towbar fits my '63 and a friends '70, and the '70 is a different beam.

Tow bar should fit all Beetles, Ghias, and Things. Link pin or Ball joint, doesn't matter. Won't fit Super Beetle, Bus, or Type 3.
