Be kinda neat to just buy it in Tanzania and bump around the Serengeti a while. Maybe go climb Kilimanjaro if that is on your bucket list.
A real adventure would be to drive it to Europe. _________________ Al Brase

The bureaucratic adventure would be navigating around all the cities and zones that don't permit diesel from that age. _________________ 1988 Caravelle - FB25B - Syncro converted

Can you elaborate on this?
Is there a year or model engine cut-off, or is it a no 'pre-DEF' diesels type thing?
Are some Countries more strict, or is it a general EU thing?
Just wondering, thanks in advance... _________________ '68 Westy- my first VW and vehicle/Bus- long gone.- sold it to a traveling Swiss couple....

As an example, here in the UK you can't drive inside most major cities with a diesel engine that isn't rated Euro 6 compliant (unless it's over 40 years old and registered as a historic vehicle). As of August 2023, the space in London will extend all the way our to the circular M25 motorway.
If you come over from another country, you have to register your vehicle with Traffic For London (TFL) to be allowed to drive your vehicle inside this zone, otherwise you'll get fined. Different cities have different organisations which manages their clean air zone policies so it can become a real minefield. Now expand that out to several other countries in Europe.... _________________ 1988 Caravelle - FB25B - Syncro converted

Not sure if deal is the best way to describe this one. I do know the owner has always been fair and honest with me. And he owns Streetsboro Foreign Auto so I'm sure its in good running condition. As for the Ohio rust? Not sure

Up for sale is a 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia Full Camper. We’re sad to let it go, but it’s time to let someone take over our Westy dreams.
The brown interior is in good shape with the original stove and fridge, plus the original extra seat and a newer cabin floor mat. It has a fully functioning pop-top, though the top bunk needs a mattress. It comes with a Bentley repair manual and handful of extra parts (e.g. new wing mirrors).
It’s been sitting unused in a garage for ten years, but it ran well when it was parked. The new owner will have to tow it away.
