That is a beautiful ghia cabriolet. I've always had a soft spot for yellow cars too. _________________ - Paul |

weascoast-paul and king karmann,
Thank you very munch. Indeed we are proud of our KG. Here in the Philippines, there are only handfull of karmann ghias. Most are hard top Karmann Ghias.
I have spent countless sleepless nights just to complete this ride. And as the saying goes, it is worth the wait.
We have our local claub of Karmann Ghia too. We call it The Karmann Ghia Registry Philippines or the KGB (Karmann Ghia Boys). You can check this: http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/karmannghiaregistryph/
Thanks a lot. I ll keep you updated of our KG.
TY,
Don |

Very nice convertible!
I hope that dog in the first photo is not
in the process of lifting a hind leg. _________________ ****************************

Thanks a lot Ghiaddict. Rest assured, my dog won't pee on the eight spoke style empi wheels because its a female dog.
Again, thank you very much.  _________________ '67 KG Cabrio (Mickey) ;

These are the pictures of our Karmann Ghia convertible equipped with a 1776 engine and sporting a single 34 PICT-3 Solex carbs, which I changed the main jet from 127.5 to 140. Sometimes I change the main jet to 150.

This morning, I decided to drive my Karmann Ghia a.k.a Mickey. That though of it alone almost gave me a heart attack! It got excited.
It was fun driving Mickey.
I took some videos while I was driving Mickey.

New look of our KG a.k.a Mickey. I removed the eight spoke- EMPI Style.
I prefer the stock rims for now. With those hubcaps and beauty rings, Mickey looks cool! On the Stocker side!
And I am planning of selling my eight spokes wheels!

On 26 September 2009, our Karmann Ghia, together with our baywindow, Fasty, Super beetle and Mitsubishi Sparewagon were flood (our house too, though our Pajero was saved and brought to a higher ground). I tried all the possible efforts to save these vee dubs, but the flood was to quick. And I had no time relocating these cars.
Though the vee-dubs are okay and running now, i need to address the electrical issues too.
I have learned that in times like this, the material possessions are secondary to the safety of my family. These can be fixed cleaned and replaced.
And I can honestly say that God is good, He spared us from possible harm.
Though I have shared this already to other forums, I'll like to share once more this story on this forum. These are the pictures.
The unsinkable Sharky 2 proved otherwise!!!
Our Type 2 on a test run!
I went to Marikina City! Mud was everywhere! _________________ '67 KG Cabrio (Mickey) ;

I am glad you and your family are ok. So sad. But God is good. I hope you recover quickly.
Best regards,

@Ray and John
Thanks a lot for that, buddies. The KG is now running though, you are right John, I am still cleaning, fixing and checking some potential electrical issues to the addressed on Mickey. But, what is paramount here is that my family is safe now. And we are bliss to see another bright morning that will shine our way again! Thanks, my KG buddies! _________________ '67 KG Cabrio (Mickey) ;
