anybody ever have this problem?
to clarify its not the thickness but the length....

its like its an inch too long. I do not understand.

oh and please excuse the overillustrated frustration of the first post.

Is there anything I can do to get it to shrink?
all split glass is the same size correct?

Send that junk back to CIP and get new rubber from WCM or Wolfsberg West. I had the same problem with CIP. The stuff I got from WBW fit perfect.

thats what I figured Eric. Confused . ...You should have seen me throwing a little crybaby fit yesterday. I even tried to freeze one...
yea....that didn't work. funny thing is I only bought them last year to get my order up high enough to get free shipping.... and the rear glass seal I bought with them for a 66 singlecab was too short..... but at least I was able to heat that one up and make it fit. I got a rear oval glass with a seal... maybe I'll just cut that stupid bar out Wink

Well since you are an OKIE now, you could just do what I did for when I need an emergency one, and cut the seal, wrap it around the window, put on a gang of super glue and let it dry...then install it....but that's some Folsom player shit right there.

Bam, give Wolfsburg West a call and ask for zwitter rubber. There is in fact a size difference between the early split and the zwitter rear glass.

Yep, Zwitter back window rubber is the only split rubber with the groove for moulding.

.....yea I knew about the groove thing but the glass is a different size?
I don't care about the groove I'm not going to put the trim in the seals.
I thought all split glass was the same size though?

So Eric....doesn't that make you hindu now?

Huh? You saying that zwitter rear glass and non-zwitter split rear glass is different? How can that be, the body stampings are the same???

I tried to install the original zwitter small logo sekurit glass pieces that Bam has now in John's old '51 when we were putting it back together. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why the original glass wouldn't work with the brand new rubber. A quick phone call to WW and the difference was confirmed. "No" crowd?
