As a newbie here, I think it would be great to be able to see profiles of other members. Most of the people posting in the forums seem to know each other pretty well, but it takes us new guys awhile to get to know much about them. I'm addicted to the rants and have learned a little about some of the regulars there, but I wouldn't want to jump in the tank when the sharks are biting just to ask where they're from or what kind of ride(s) they have. That could lead to something like 57bugman's plunge the other night! I figure I'll be hearing "here little fishy" soon enough, but with a profile posted, at least I'd have a better idea of who's hammerin me... |

JDawg check out "and how old are you" in the general forum. It's a small glimpse of your VW peers. Aloha! |

jdawg, just start doing some searches in the rants and you will start to learn, here are some good key words for ya.... "jakub", "jhc", "gfk", "ian", "jumpinjeasus2002", "bleep", there are many more ins and outs to the rants but those will get you started and maybe lead you to other searches. you will get respect for doing your homework when you do finally decide to join the fun. |

I've been watching that thread ritchiet002, noticed that most people list their cars, or at least the age of them. Trouble with that post is every time it's updated, I feel a little older!lol |

What do you have to say to get a <MESSAGE REMOVED>! Is it now in the rants? I enjoyed the thread. It showed me that the VW is appreciated and loved by everyone. We tried to get a bus "run" together last month. We got a 73 year old guy with 71 in cherry shape and he wanted to restore it! He had bought it new. We kept los'n him because he wouldn't go over 40mph! I only feel old in AM ,staring in the mirror. |

You get message removed when you talk about certain people that have been subject to unecessary abuse on the site. |

Guess that answers the question - thanks Everett. By the way, I think 57bugman gained some respect in that thread the other night! |
