Oh yeah. Weve got dunes.
The Sahara state park has one the highest sand mountains. Ironically, its called sand mountain. There are competitions all year long to see who can get up it the fastest. People race everthing from 4-wheelers, dune-bugs and one guy even brought a custom 66 ford bronco. That thing was fast, but he stalled once 80% of the way up and had a scary ride down. The cool part about that park is that there are all kinds of bowls and hills to ride on. There are a few more places with sand, but sahara is the biggest for drawing crowds. |

We're here, it's just that we have to spend a little more time in the garage making repairs than the street boys...
As far as being a 4x4 killer, well, I can't go as deep into the mud hole as they can, but I sure can get from mudhole "A" to mudhole "B" a WHOLE lot faster.
Dunno 'bout sand dunes in north florida, though, too busy taking mud bathes. |

we do our fair share of gettin muddy here in baltimore. theres not alot of "legal" spots but we find a way to pull it off. FACT: you can easily outrun a police expedition in the woods in a 69 baja.....and we only lost one fender and dented the door..lol. check out our pics on bugnaked.com, post some messages too theres plenty of offroaders here ready to swap stories!! |

You are correct sir! If it were not for my buddys 72 Baja we would have been busted by cops and DNR many many times! Back when we were in High school we used to party back in the woods on state land, as soon as we saw the the lights on top of those jeeps, we hopped in the Baja were out of there in no time! No overweight 4*4 can keep up with a VW on rough terrain!
Hey Joey, my buddy lives in Towson, he says there is alot of "talent" out there maybe you can do a photo shoot for bugnaked.com there. |

We do plenty of Baja thrashin' here in Oregon. Heck, that guy who said we spend more time in the garage was right on. I think Ive broken just about every part on my 71 baja (bent atleast). As a matter of fact, I just bent a trailing arm so my bug looks like a lowered swingaxle on one side, and a lifted irs on the other. Its my daily driver and I havent had time to fix so if you see a funny looking baja going down the road in Eastern Oregon, wave. |

Joey, I am not sure if any of the chicks he knows would want to pose for you guys, but he said that the hot chick percentage is pretty high in Towson. If I ever come down to visit him I will have to meet up with you guys and talk VWs and scout some talent! |

A buddy of mine is building a 70 baja. The top has been removed and replaced with a full cage that we made. He's putting the finishing touches on the Pinto 2.3 motor. We just made some bumpers for it this past weekend.
While it will go faster than my Samurai, it won't go nearly the same places. Then again, I like playing in the big rocks out in the Sierra mountains. |
