A arm suspention

Does any one out here own a VW based car with "A ARM" suspention?
The question I have been wanting to know is How well does an " A ARM " set up handle on the street. I am building a BAJA that I want to be able to ride around town in and go heavy off roading also

i used to race a class 10 off road car, that was a beam car, until we sold it. then we built an a-arm 10 car (chenowth millenium). and i can tell you this....i personally liked the way the beam car worked in the rough, but the a-arm car steers and handles so much better. no more push like the beam car had. now, when you turn the wheel, it turns, and right now. when you desert race a beam car, you just get accustomed to the "push" when you turn it. with the a-arms it drives so much better. as for your question about the street, it will be wonderful. but i can not stress to you how important it is to have the geometry correct. not just for drivability, but for your safety.
