Aloha, I am seeking knowledge of wheel clearance. Which if any, offer better clearance? On a ghia I see a porche fuch that "sticks out" past the lug nuts. Is that a 4 1/2 x 14, or 4 1/2 x 15? Is that the best for size for clearance?
I like the way the Brm's look. Anything negative about the BRM wheels? Any response would be appreciated. -Seb |

The Fuchs that have the spokes that stick out past the rim are the 4.5x15s. The only 14" wheels are 5.5". The 14s may give you better clearance in some places due to the fact that the OD is smaller. The 4.5x15s will give better clearance at the fender, but that isn't likely to be a problem with a lowered Ghia. They have almost the same offset as a stock Ghia wheel.
One bad thing about the fake BRMs is their weight. They weigh in at almost double the 4.5x15s. |
