Does this seem a little over priced to anyone else or am I just cheap?

If all the parts are there, it might not be as bad as you think.

I fall the body work "is done" as he says and the car is complete it's probably a pretty fair price. It seems like alot of money up front but do a restoration and it will "nickle and dime" you to death, Shocked
I'm into my 56 sedan for almost 10 grand now and still going (loving it though, not bitter) Cool and a vert is going to cost alot more when you have to source parts, which it sounds like he has done Smile Snatch it up and finish it Cool

I'm scared to imagine what i'm going to spend restoring my 59 panel Shocked

The ad says "Nothing is missing from this car" and it looks like the bodywork has been done and it just needs paint and assembly. Figure in another 5k to finish and you have a nice restored vert for about 20k Surprised

If all the parts are there and there's only "a little rust", that price is not bad at all. The back apron picture looks clean

ok understandable. When I first saw I was comparing it to Rich's 50 vert he just baught for 13,000 and this 55 vert
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=374988

Now that you brought up all the other stuff it does seem to be a fair price.

I thought about the price too, it sounds high but if he has all the right vert parts its a good price. Body work is not cheap to begin with. Plus with a little time and effort it could really be a nice car.

I'm 26 so hopefully if we go at the same age I'll at least have it for 6 years. But that's not enough time to really enjoy a car like that!
I'll just have to buy my own someday hopefully!!
