Drove the 69 Fastback in a major snow storm yesterday and when I got her home the parking lights and instrument lights wont turn off. I pulled the switch in and out several times and still no off. I am guessing it is a short in the switch but thought I would get some opinions.

Take the switch out and pull a wire off. If the lights turn off, replace the switch. Hopefully that helps you..

Spoon: It was a short in one of the wires. It was routed between 2 hot wires and had melted through the wire.

Cool... you found it. Hard part over, glad it was near the switch. I am assuming you have it fixed?

That happned to my fasty too. Turn on the lights and try to rotate the dimmer clockwise and counterclockwise then turn off the lights until such time that the lights would turn off. Hope that will solve the problem. If not, then the switch should be replaced.

Yeah, I fixed the wire and went ahead and replaced the switch, had a couple extras laying around from my ghia teardowns.
