This car is worth 20k minimum and 6 figures max. I honestly can't tell. I don't have the ability to get it in the air and solve the puzzle. If it is the real thing I don't want to leave money on the table, but I could be wrong as well. In any case, it is a nice Beetle. I am going back to Montana."

I know it involves a bereavement but this is a strange approach to selling, then he hands the dealing over to his mum and clears off to montana! Confused

THANK YOU! I was afraid it went over everyone's head. And it was a Pygmy pony!

Great paint job on this Rolling Eyes The didn't bother to take out the switches on the dash and the nuts are painted over. Also, the dome light switch in the door is painted over. No engine tar board either. Missing the bumper brakes going to the overiders, the frunk has a bad paint job. https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=2393090

Not sure, but the grafted sunroof looks a little too far back in the roof!

This ad just seems a bit off. Missing front body badge (I assume the front VIN tag), does have vin number bill of sale only. Complete except engine and deck lid, rust free except all these rust holes. Having a vin tag missing and being “saved” from a storage unit makes me wonder if it was stolen or something, just very strange in my opinion. Thoughts?

Also weird he's offering to include a ball joint beam setup, at additional charge, for a link pin car.

Is that supposed to be original paint?
I don't recognize the color and it looks like the engine tin and decklid drain tray match too... which screams repaint to me

The owner started working for Volkswagen 55 years ago which would put him in his mid-70s now -------- and we all know how those old guys get sometimes.

When the rubber snubbers on the apron are painted the same color as the car I think you can safely claim it's a repaint. If you go to the google photo link he posted, you can see the body has been off the pan at some point (non standard pan bolt in one pic), painted wire looms, and the entire trunk is white. So yes, a paint job.

If it were a '60 I'd be calling. Haha.https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipNepOaXxhUG_8...NRQm9rZ1dn
