Here you go Jdoggy. I'm sure you expected me to say something about this. You seem fairly smart, you've done alot of research about the car you love, the type 3. So why then do you resort to such childish tactics as dissin' my 'ol lady. Hey, Roy. Notchgod is not obliged to defend everything that JDogg says. I defend type 3's, JDogg's type 3, and things that JDogg says that I find defensible. Some of his statements need to just hang out there on their own. We are two different guys with two different styles. I'm older (I'm his uncle), and I prefer to keep my posts from becoming personal attacks, and I certainly try to obstain from using offensive language. I enjoy the more subtle arts of creative, non-profane insults, and clever, slightly veiled references to sexual situations and realities. Basically, I'm saying JDogg can and does take care of himself just fine.

Not that anybody's asking me, but he makes vw people look bad and especially type 3 people. That's one dude I wouldn't want to be assiciated with, and I definately would not advertise the fact that I'm his uncle.
Don't get me wrong, maybe in a few years when he grows up and learns a little tact, he could become a decent person to have in the vw scene, but for now, it looks like we're stuck with young naive jpuppy.

Touche', Roy. Like you said - may not have been a personal attack - it was phrased as a question. If you would have said, "yes" to the question, it would have been a personal attack. I generally choose my words carefully, so you will notice that I have qualified my claims of purity with the words "prefer" and "try". Obviously, with the body of my work preserved on this site for posterity, I would not be able to claim that I absolutely don't engage in personal attacks or that I never use profanity. Sometimes I'm just in the mood. I am constantly trying to improve, though.

Jdogg, try for a moment to respond to a post without calling me any names. I get the impression that you know quite a bit about type 3's. Did they ever make a type 3 ragtop of any kind? I've heard rumors that there is a squareback ragtop about 50 miles from me. If its original, I would be interested, but I don't know enough about type 3's.
