Can anyone tell me why? I thought water was getting in the gas tank but it's not. I thought it was water leaking through the windsheild onto my electronics but I fixed that. It runs ok at speed but will not keep a decent idle at a stop. It happens despite the severity of rainfall, even if it is just misty. Any suggestions would be helpful. |

I had similar problems in my 85 accord daily driver. It ended up being moisture in one of the cap plugs, so i replaced the cap, rotor, plug wires, and plugs and all was well!

I'd try what Frank suggested. Beyond that, have you ever considered moving to Phoenix? I lived there for awhile. Can't remember why I thought it would be a good idea to move back to the Seattle area. You'd be screwed here. Arizona's dry. Any problem you have with a problem associated with moisture would probably clear right up. |

Thanks for the tip. I think I'll try drying out the cap components and then reassemble with silicone grease rather than move to Phoenix (not in the budget right now). |
