				| I was wondering if anyone knew off hand the vacuum hose that came off the right side of the fan shroud and connected to the top of the stock air filter.
It's thicker than the 2 smaller hoses. Does anyone carry those? What's the size on those?

 Thanks!

				| I used a caliper and I got 12mm or 1/2 an inch. Sound about right?
While I was back there I noticed another hose , on the air cleaner side, that comes out the firewall and goes back into the firewall. Mine was snapped in half and looked dry. Critical to replace that?

 Thanks

 chris

				| These hoses provide the air pressure to purge the gas vapors from the carbon canister and force them into the engine where they are burned. Not critical, but they may aid in reducing fuel tank pressure and the resulting gas smell in the trunk and car. | |

				| As Woreign implied, that hose does not connect directly from the fan shroud to the air cleaner. The hose from the shroud goes into the canister located near the starter, then goes from that canister to the air cleaner. That canister has a thin hose that snakes around the right side of the car to another charcoal canister in the boot, then into the gas tank.
Usually, the long run from the front to the rear is clogged and/or cut or broken and the entire system is no longer functional. If that's the case, you should just plug the hole in the shroud and in the air cleaner as it's just wasting cooling air and blowing unfiltered air into your intake. Not a good setup.

				| Thanks for responding!
I hope to fix it soon!

Regarding the hoses coming out of the firewall to the upper right of the fan shroud, does the left hose go to the fan shroud, right hose to the air cleaner?

I'm going to cap both the fan shroud and air cleaner for now though.

Probably have to get a 6 pack of different sizes.

I think that's correct - that's the position mine was frozen in before I snapped the tubes off.
  They were kinda old. _________________

				| I have dual carbs with no provision to hook up hose from charcoal canister. The rear canister just has a big hose that is looped from the in port to the out port. Would it do any good to cap one of the ports (assume there is no difference) and run the hose up to the shroud? | |
