I am looking for L31 Dove Blue mix formula for BASF. Either Diamont ( my preference) or Glasurit 55. Has anyone out there had this converted to Diamont? My paint rep is trying to work on this for me, but it might take awhile. I just thought I'd take a chance here as well. Thanks, Jason |

The issue is that this paint line, Diamont, doesn't offer a mix formula for this particular code. Sometimes ,in cases like this, you can get the color converted from one paint line to another. Each manufacturer uses their own specific tints, so the Dupont or PPG formula wouldn't be the same. I can't imagine that the large number of VW's out there painted Dove Blue are all using PPG |

L230 comes out just the same in the Dupont line same with L31
It is if they can mix it in older style paints. Since this is originaly a laquer color it will have to be made into a BASE clear or even possibly a single stage. It is possible to make it from any color as long as you get the mixing ratios. I know a few people that could mix it just by looking at the color. A true mix is a combination of formula and tinting. |
