I have owned this bus for 20 years. Its all original including the paint, interior and engine. The only thing that's been replaced is the upolstry. Does anyone know if there are any others out there? Post some pics if you do.

I have seen a couple dozen of them over the years. definitely the less common color scheme in the '66-'67 years. I think it is a neat effect with the singletone paint and the deluxe trim. _________________ .

I used to own a nice original 66 13 window years ago. It had original paint & interior. My older brother found it in someone's back yard being used as a dog house. It even had the middle seat. Practically no rust.
Back in the early 90's I needed the money so it was sold cheap. Ended up in England. Last I heard it got dropped & painted black. _________________ 58 PGSG Westfalia

One of my favorite colors on a window bus... I think Rizzag used to have a 21w Lotus bus. _________________ It's not how wide your hatch is, it's what you do with it.

I had one a few years back that suffered an engine fire...
Sold it to a guy who started a restoration on it, but then sold it when he bought a house. Last I heard (years ago), it was up in the dayton, ohio area. _________________ -Andrew |

Yes, I forgot your username.
Nice Bus, I saw it in person at an OCTO meet.
There used to be someone else with a walk-through Lotus 21-Window too that came to Pomona and swapped out of it. I don't know the current location. I searched my Pomona photos but could not find any shots. _________________ How to Post Photos

There's a Lotus White 21 window nearby me. I asked if it was forsale, he said no. Apparenly he's owned it since like the early '90's and it's been in the same condition, deteriorating since then. It runs/drives/stops etc, but there is definitely some stuff that SHOULD be done to it, and it just sits most of the time.
I'd even bet it's covered in about 2ft of snow right now. Sad really. _________________ All your Buses are belong to us.

There used to be two white 67 21 window`s here in town. One was a clean original owned by a Japanese guy and the other was a MINT one from Visalia that I turned my friend Mike Van Horst on to. It was in Hot VW`s along with his black restored 57 Bug. Remember that article? _________________ If you`re going to do something, do it right. |

I know where a lotus white 21 window lives, but the owner wont part with it. The owner and his wife are a little strange, but its all there. Maybe one of these days he will sell it. I think he would sell it, but his wife is telling him no. He told a neighbor of mine that if he did sell it that one of the conditions would be once it was restored they would get the chance to camp in it.
