I just got this '72 SB from my neighbor.
Needs new tires.
Was thinking might look cool with RADIAL T/A or GOODYEAR or whatever raised white letters.
If anybody has photoshop skills, have at it. Or, lets see yours.
Thanks

If the tires are trash you could get down there with some white acrylic paint, a brush, and a wet rag and see for yourself.
I tried this on a car a few years ago and it looked so good I rolled with it. Did a touch up the next year until the tires were done. _________________ “If you care for a thing long enough, it takes on a life of its own, doesn't it? Good idea!
I saw one with white RADIAL T/A tires on a picture...thought it was here.
Looked pretty good
Thought it might look good on mine too.
Will give er a try with paint brush and shaky hands and share here.

Those^ are cool, but the paint cost about 5 bucks and I already had the brushes.
And it even looked good up close. _________________ “If you care for a thing long enough, it takes on a life of its own, doesn't it? Mending old things, preserving them, looking after them – on some level there's no rational grounds for it.”

Ha, Awesome?!
I never even thought to google tire stickers. Never imagined there is such a product.
But yea $50-70-90 na.
Will try paint before I replace the tires. If looks good, I'll price out proper raised white letter tires. I to expensive, I'll paint the new ones.
Of course, gotta ask RockScotty have any pics?

I do, but not on a VW so I can't post them here, and I don't have a photo hosting site.
I can email them to you if you like. _________________ “If you care for a thing long enough, it takes on a life of its own, doesn't it? Mending old things, preserving them, looking after them – on some level there's no rational grounds for it.”

No issues, just curious.
I have learned enough already.
Going to get one of those tire paint pens and see how it looks.
Thanks all
