Sounds like it might be rings.I'd do a compression test or even a leak down test just for kicks to see where you're at. |

baja5, not to be rude but do you know anything about the internal combustion engine? There is no "kicking" involved. _________________ http://www.realultimatepower.net/ |

Just a little. If you have something important to say just spit it out.Lets see.The car is smoking, using oil. and VW's dont use valve seals.Let's hear your opinion on the subject.Yes,I know that a compression test and a leakdown test won't tell you the condition of the oil control rings,However they will give you a general idea of engine condition. If you have a better suggestion i'd be all ears. |

My vote would say there is a dead piston!!.......Are all of your cylinders firing? You might pull your plugs.. (look for the one covered in oil....) |

...and while you're pulling them, pull one wire at a time and see if there's one that doesn't make any difference. If there is, there's your problem-
-throw that wire away, and you're good!
