My D/C has OG green paint, Jim @ VintageSpeedWerks was able to paint the logo to match the aged look!

Cool logo, but you might want to get that suspension checked - something looks out-of-whack...

If that is OG paint, what happened to the roof?

I'm about to check the front suspension w/ a rear straight axle kit & drop spindles. A previous owner thought it would be cool to pull out some torsion bars. He was also high probably, we he then decided to paint the roof w/ house paint & a brush!!

Damn you guys don't give an inch of credit do you?? Hoodride? ouch.

Obviously MOST of the bus is OG paint and to me the font of the logo's looks 70's. The image is fairly modern but I still admire the fact that you did something out of the ordinary.

not one single inch!! I'm just saying it seems too modern and one dimensional. I like the older more simple but intricate stuff myself. if it has no seems so simple and one Dimensional like a quick stencil job, the logo is just a Skull & wrenches. no color no crazy eyes ect ect. It's better than say......I hoodride stencil.!

this is great. I have a 63 single cab and I use it as my cabinet shop truck, delivering cabinets and picking up material. When I repaint I would also like to do logos and maybe come up with a new logo for my business. What would you guys consider period correct logos? Post pictures, or send them to me. I've got an ace graphic designer who could design me a logo, and I'd want it in the 60's style or something that would fit my soon to be stock restored bus.

To be honest, I think it looks like a Word font. It would look a lot better if was faded to match. I think it almost looks photoshopped on. It is a nice bus though Cool

Actually my pix don't give the paint complete credit, When you see it in person it is flat, faded & you can see a lot of the green under it. Jim has a special way he does this.

Yes, the logo is some what modern. However I needed something to reflect the fact I do a little VW work on the side for other people. Since I'm heavily involved w/ VW drag racing & sandrailing.

Besides This is my first type 2 & I love it!
It can only be described as a "Pirate Ship on Wheels"!!
