|
|
I have 3 Rocket Industries 5 spoke Empi replicas, and 1 American Eagle that looks extremely similar. The Rockets mount up fine, but the center cap does not fit when used on the front (drum). The American Eagle has a larger center hole and cap, which works fine up front. Am I missing something, or did rocket make a wheel that does not allow the center cap to be used? Are there some other caps that will work? My initial solution is to find another American Eagle, and use those up front. Any help would be appreciated.

The Rockets are kinda bottom shelf when it comes to 5 spokes for that very reason. They are fine if you have 66-67 flat wide 5 drums up front but they are a nightmare to get center caps on with a linkpin drum. Also the center caps for those are really cheesy that look nothing like a normal 5 spoke cap. If I was you, I would try to find 3 more American Eagles and sell those rockets. Also, Rockets will break around the center cap hole if you try to force them on. _________________ GFK

That's what I was trying to tell you yesterday on the phone.
Ditch those rocket wheels!!
Too bad you didn't catch me a week ago. I had 4 American for $400.
Someone saw that deal and got them already though. |
