I have a 74 super. I've seen many front disc conversions out there that have ghia or type 3 rotors and calipers. I know of a type 3 in a local boneyard with front discs. Will I be able to put these on my spindles or would I need some sort of bracket for the calipers? Thanx Dew |

yes you will need some crazy brackets, I wouldnt recomend making your own. There is a couple of companies who make a conversion kit. Buy the cheap one and just replace the bearings that come with the kit with nice german ones. There is no need to buy the expensive one from topline parts, it is just marked up because it topline.

Much easier to find beetles in Aussie bone yards - the climate here is kinder to them and they don't rust away so fast. There's a 72 superbug in a wreckers near me with complete disc brake assemblies still intact (we got front discs in all beetles from 68 onwards).
