i have the stock odometer in my car and i was wonderinf if any could tell me what the g in the circle means... it turned on the other day when i was on the free way coming home and it caught my attentione when it turned on but i have no clue what it means...

(G)enerator? It should go on if the battery is discharging while you are driving, meaning the generator isn't working right.

Oh, and I think the G stayed there even thought the generator was replaced by an alternator, because that's the situation with mine.

generator,alternator it's all the same thing.well kinda.but it your case it means that the alternator is not supplying power to the car plus keeping the battery charged.therefore u best take a look at the alternator b4 the battery goes totally flat.

no the belt didnt break on me but the light kept on so i am getting either a new generator or a altenator
