I've seen the info here in the past and searched but I can't seem to find when the changeover from 15 inch rims and icepick handles to 14 inch rims and push button handles. I know in 64 sometime, but what VIN #? Thanks for the help, Todd _________________ and take the kids for instance "Are we going in the Volkswagen bus?" and they say "Yay!" and clap their hands and if it's a glorious day you can slide the sunroof back and let a little of the glory in and all of a sudden, it stops looking funny.

Is this a trick question? It was 63 of december, but #1222026 for the door handle change, and #1222031 for the rim change. |

So there were 5 busses built with pushbutton handles and 15" rims. Interesting... |

I went back to double check my info and found some discrepencies.
the 67 parts list says;
the rim change happened at #1219511.
The door handle changed #1222026.
Progressive refinements and Eccles says;
the rim change happened at #1222026
The door handle also at same VIN but one day earlier..?
I will have to find my source for 1222031, that is also the change for the door panel screw/clips. Will post more when I come across it. Anyone know more? |

Thank you for the info. I was hoping to have 15 inch wheels from the factory. My VIN is 1224xxx built in Jan 64 so it looks like I fall into the 14 inch wheel era.
