| I have a 1970 super beetle but can find no information on it. Everything I have found states super beetle first made in 1971. Can anyone point me to a source on the 1970 super beetle, i.e., month manufactured, how many, etc. Any info will help. Thanks. |

| Do you mean yours says 8/70 on the tag on the door jamb.....? if so it is still a 71..... |

Super Beetles weren't made until the 1971 model year. I'm sure that's what you have. '71 & '72 looked very much like the standard Beetles (only a little longer in the front). It was in '73 that they reconfigured the Super.
