Are you sure it's coming out of the head - or is it possible that it's your valve cover gasket? Possibly your push-rod tubes? There are many different opinions about which push-rod tubes & gaskets you should use. However, I've found that cork gaskets are best for the valve-covers. The rubber ones don't seal as well.
Hopefully it's something as easy as the valve cover gasket.

Look at the mating surface on the head and see if there are any nicks and if so use a small fine file to clean them up. Only file the raised burr! Check to see if the valve cover is straight. Try gluing the gasket to the valve cover. Make sure its lined up correctly. Make sure that rust hasn't made any pinholes in valve cover. Hope this helps. Good luck.

...with all the oil your talking about I'd almost want to look at the MAINSEAl. It could be comming from the heads, pushrod tubes or possibly being wiped around the front (flywheel side) of the engine because of a blown mainseal. If I were you, which I'm not, I'd drop the engine - get a gasket kit (from any of the major VW part distributors) and re-assemble everything.

...also pressure wash the beast and get a clearer idea of where it's leeaking.

It just sound like too much il from a blown pushrod or head gasket seal....

Just my 2 cents....

Regards, Rick

ok well i am so stupid... i took the cover off just to maybe see what was wrong with it and i found the problem... it was the gasket.. when the guy put it on he put it on a lil crooked and there was a hole that the oil was going through... so i got it covered no thanks...
