I am trying to find out how tall the quarter window glass actually is, not including the frame. The reason being is because I am trying to get a sign made that will fit within the window area, and I do not have a beetle available to measure.

Thank you for any measurements.

Hi Sonoma_vw,

1958 to 1967 Beetle rear 1/4 window sizes can vary.

It would be helpful if you specified which year/model/original sales market you want sizes for.

Apologies. Yeah, that would help. Embarassed
A 1960 beetle. Thank you.

I’m trying to find out if I can fit a 13”H x 8.5”W paper in the window.

I measured a quarter window glass from my '64 (which I think is the same for all '64 and earlier cars) and it measured 24-13/16 inches long by 12-1/4 inches high.

You're going to have to sell the '60 and buy a '65-> to fit a sign THAT big! Wink Laughing

Seriously though, perhaps if you can trim a little off the top and bottom margines it might fit?
