The car is a 72 super. I removed the starter wires over a year ago to replace the starter. Since then I have forgotten where the wires go. The replacement starter I have only had three post compared to the old starter. I fixed that by adding another post to the same place as the one had. I hooked it up as though it should have went. Turned the key nothing. I do hear the click of the relay in the back.. The wires I have are as follows: one large black with a hole in it, red with a white stripe on it, red wire with no other colors on it and the last is black wire that seems to come from the inside of the car near the driver door post. Can anyone shed some light on how this is suppose to be wired up? I have a manual but I really don't understand the wiring part too well.
Thanks Chris
P.S. I have just found this site with the diagram.. will this work for a super? http://www.hallvw.clara.net/wire72t3.htm |

| The motor wiring is the same for both models, but the black wire is a mystery, you'll have to trace that back to see where it goes/comes from. |

| Finally.. I got the starter working now.. I had to look at the diagrams and double check everything.. The thick black wire turned out to be the wire to the battery.. |
