|
| I am finishing my Fibertech Manx resto and was wondering if anybody else is running dual bazookas on the street? I have a 2375 with dual bazookas to run on the street, but it is kind of LOUD! People always turn their heads and give the thumbs up, but I am kinda wondering how long before I start getting fix-it tickets for being too loud. Running a heavy cam so at a red light it really has that high lope rumble that sounds awesome with the bazookas, but accelerating or romping on it (hypothetically of course, it just looked like the front tires weren't on the ground). Anyway, anybody having noise problems with the law? |

Huh - What did you say???? Can't hear you - my ears are shot from my Empi Duals......
I LOVE the look of duals, but since I drive our buggy a LOT, I got the "quiet one" from CP Perfomance. I hate how it looks, it sounds great _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone 1914. Ex wifes car.

Loud pipes save lives, not hearing. I suppose though, if you go deaf from sitting in your loud buggy, you might get run over by the garbage truck that you don't hear or see coming, so maybe they DON'T save lives..
I'm still working on my buggy but have a pretty good idea that my fluted megaphone pipes will be loud...I am actually planning on having more than one exhaust system, but the loud one will be for street, and the quiet one will be for the woods. |

Get a 4 into 1 exhaust with a u-bend and put whatever muffler you want on it.
When you want lound just run with out the muffler. I ran with out for a month or so but finally got sick of the noise.
I am happy with the Supertrapp.
Quiet is good.
Now listening to a little Beach Boys, Yes, Kraftwerk and others on the MP3 player.....

| I've run the bazookas on mine for a long time. I think the glass packs are gone, it's really loud. i love the sound, but w/ kadrans, they are so close to the pipes i've burnt myself a few times trying to tune them. oh yeah, mine is an el lobe w/ a 1641. |
