I am replacing the firewall insulation on my 72 Super Beetle. After ripping out the old tar-board, all I see are little hooks. The new insulation kit I have says it uses the old clips but not sure how it works.

trace the old shape onto the new material, bend out the hooks, then press the new pieces onto them so they stick through, and bend them back over. if that doesnt work, use some adhesive
