Thought folks should know that my dealer is replacing my drivers window regulator on my 00 Beetle at no charge, even though the warranty has expired.
There is a class action suit on this issue, and VW has apparently decided to offer free repair. _________________ '58 Westy camper-come and gone

yeah they did a recall, and they should be replacing both side window clips with metal clips. On some models they also recalled the ignition coils. On others, they recalled the heated seat switches, fuel pumps, and on 1.8T engines they extended a warranty to combat oil sludge.
Its a good idea to just call vw customer care 1800-822-8987. Give them your VIN and name and address, they will check to see if there are any more recalls which need to still be completed, and keep you updated on any more recalls. _________________ 1972 Standard Beetle
