??? i love my fastback
but you have to find someone who wants EXactly what you have
you can buy one for a project for 500- 800$
or you can buy one that is already half way there
2000-3000$
but its all in WHO is looking
WHERE you are located
and WHAT you have |

type 3`s are always under valued. notches have some because they were all grey market cars. squares are great because there a short bus and fastbacks are misunderstood you like them or you don`t . _________________ 70 fastback automatic 06 invader |

IMHO Fastbacks are the most stylish type 3's VW ever made. But as said before not loved by many. But anyone that has a Fastback knows this. there are squares and Notches everywhere. If your like anyother Fastback owner we all like to be different and stand out in a crowd. The Picture of the green one above is mine. Great body lines. _________________ FUCK CANCER FUCK CANCER FUCK CANCER!!

You know, I've been looking at your question (e.g. fastback values) for about 10 years - I'd say the consensus opinion on thesamba Type 3 forum probably puts notchbacks at the top, followed closely by squarebacks (I've owned three), then the fastbacks (I've owned one and it's the only one I've kept).... the Type 3 Ghia (which I've owned) falls into its own category (and its own website - type34.org). Looking at thesamba site today, there are about 215 entries in Type 3 for sale category and about 45 fastbacks... it seems that most are in the $2K or less range, but the nicely finished, high-end cars courting the $12K range (oldbug.com - Randy Carlson - just launched a ISP West prepped car listed for $12K in a matter of days)... I think it's just as the first respondent said - who's looking, when, and what you have... but I also think it's a matter of personal taste... it's what you like to look at and be seen in... I know one thing - whether fastback, or notchback, or squareback, or Type 3 Ghia - you are going to be unique on the road... and I'd rather be in my fastback than anything else on a nice Sunday afternoon - |

I have had Type 1’s, Type 2’s, air cooled vehicles; the Type 3 is the best in my opinion. You get a more comfortable ride and they have more room than a bug. I love my Fastback, I like driving to work everyday knowing that I have one of the coolest rides out there. I still laugh when I pull up to get gas and I pop the hood, the attendant just stares at the care and asks “what is that thing.” |

110k original miles documented, full service history on it including original service sheets, and original log book for the car.....just needs the hubcaps and wheeltrims removing, and hitting with the lowering stick.....and a 1776 in the back

watch the 1970s nurburgring videos, 2 notches are rolled over in it, a sqaure goes around on 2 wheels......the a fasty gracefully goes around without any mishaps, they are the best type 3, apart from the 34 |
