stalling out at idle when cold

I just replaced the accelerater cable last week due to it breaking. Thanks for the feed back on repalcing it. My problem now seems to be it stalls out on me when it is at idle on a cold start. When the engine has run for 10 min it idles fine in fact maybe a little fast. BNefore I start turnninga ny of the carb screws can someone give me a little guidance on when to start. It is a 74 super beatle with a 1600cc engine carb. Thank you for any oif the suggestions.

if it is stalling check your choke. that is what was causing mine on my 74 Super about 2 weeks ago.
