Going on week 3 as the owner of my 88 7 passenger, really wish someone would buy my Honda so I can get some more room in the driveway. Got to talk to the previous owner yesterday who filled me in on all of the oddities particular to this van. Answers some questions, brings up a few more.
The carpet is 100% trashed in the passenger area, unfortunately so is the pad. Anyone ever Line-X this area? Any reasons why it wouldn't be a good idea? Got a buddy who does this professionally, thought I might talk him into it.
Will the chrome front and rear bumpers bolt in place of the black plastic ones? Mine have definitely seen their use and are a bit scarred up, to the point that cleaning them up would be a waste of time.
Can anyone recommend a set of car seat cover to cover up my rear bench and front captains. Sometimes I don't come home from work in the cleanest condition...
Thanks,
Chuck in Longview |

Is the pad underneath heavily stained but in whole pieces ? I washed mine with a garden hose and soap and they came out great. The chrome bumpers are easier to install....just two bolts each and the threaded holes should be there. I "think" the later plastic bumpers use the same holes and some other things. As for the seat covers, I have my front seats covered with a cheap car parts set until I can think of something better.

Anyone ever do the Line-X in the main seating area behind the drivers seat? I'm looking to do it, still wondering if there is a major mechanical/electrical reason not to... |
