I recently acquired a '63 bus. This is my first and I am just now learning more about them. I've always had bugs or ghias. I know nothing about these windows or where to find parts for them. I've checked out Wolfsburg and several other vw parts distributors with no luck. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance! In particular, if the windows are not zip tied shut, they'll flop all over the place when driving and they won't stay open either.

WolfsburgWest has replacement gasket mat'l for the windows
http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=231069411A . . but measure the originals to make sure the pieces are long enough for your windows - first ones i received were too short for one piece install., so they sent me longer replacements.
Replacement cranks are available - the gears on the original Hehr units wear out . . if you can't find them locally, i bought some new ones on-line a couple of yrs ago from Blaine Window Hardware in MD . . identified as a Jalousie Operator, part # 00821-7-037 - about $9 @
the windows were commonly used in 50's-60's Airstreams . .

Look like the ones in the 63 Ive been working on and we also need a few little bits and pieces to get them shutting and working properly. We bought another set off ebay blind only to find they were different both in size and mechanism
