leaking temp sender help

I just replaced my coolant temp sender for the fuel injection and I didn't know that it needed a o-ring. I reused the old one which looked great but now it's leaking from that spot.

Anyone run into this before? I think I need to get a new o-ring. confirmation?

You need a new o-ring for sure - after 20 something years they develop flat spots. This is a common item from the dealer for less than a dollar or take the old one to ace hardware and match it up, except that means removing the sender and letting more coolant leak out
