I would start on the ignition system first off and make sure all the wires are in place. I would then systematically check all the connectors and ensure they are plugged into thier respective mates. Look for loose wires. Open up the little black box above the coil and check the relays. See if they click when you try to start. Would need more info to give you more help. Does it try to start, or just turn over and not do a thing. Do you smell gas, etc? _________________ Geology with a Syncro rocks!

dogpilot,
I've checked for loose wiring can't see anything unusual. engine cranks but does not fire or cough or anything else, I took of the center distributer cable and there is no spark to ground when cranking. Think gas is ok.I am alone here picked up the van from CA heading to NM, stranded in parking lot of nevada welcome center waiting on a call from a friend to see if we can tow the van into las vegas. if you want to pm me a phone number that i can call may be I can try something else... just grasping at straws..
thanks anyway
