Just bought a Sept 53' motor today and the carb on it looks to be a 28 pic BUT has no markings verifying it. What would it be? Deutsche Vergaser G.m.b.H. and an RX looking symbol on it. Any info? |

I believe all zwitters and 53 ovals was delivered with this kind of carburator. I have three of these carburators and none of them has vacuum outlet or 28pci text on the side. Only the old type of logo on the side. |

It's still a 28 PCI, they didn't put the 28 PCI markings on there for a while, maybe somewhere in 1955?
If it's no vacuum outlet, yes, that is a Zwitter carb. They are some later ones with no 28 PCI and the vacuum connection too. I have about 20 of them because I buy them whenever I see them. _________________ How to Post Photos
