the IDA is much taller, it's hard to fir air cleaners on without modifying the body/deck lid. IDA was used on cobra's and porsche's, and then started to get used by the cal look crowd. As far as performance wise, there isn't that big of a difference, most of it is the look and sound. about $500 price difference too. IF you need 48's, you might check out the Dellorto 48 drla's, they have a high rpm circut, to help out the top end.
