Went over all the brakes and put a new heater cable in. Oh, and I got my rack back on.

Tore down the singlecab for paint, found three areas of rust in the rear window sill, fabricated and welded in replacements. Picked at a few places of surface rust on the floor to see if they had rust through. I got lucky no floor rot at all. I tried pulling the gate latches but they are so tight I figured I might sheer the bolts, so I have now left them alone... |

Took the family and the '60 double cab camping over the weekend. Nice to have truck to pack all the stuff in rather than trying to stuff it into a bus. A buddy of mine's wife saw it at the camp out and started crying because they sold their '64 DC with hoops and og canvas about three years ago. Her dad bought it new.

Here's a pic as I found it last month...up on blocks for the past 20 years. I'm the second owner.
This weekend I cut out the rusted rocker on the left side getting ready to weld in the new one. Also located an air cleaner and a washer bottle on Samba!
It's very complete including the Sundial interior. Not sure if I'll keep the mirrors or not. _________________ 1967 Split Window Sundial Camper

Wow thats a cool Sundial find Sunbug74, I'd like to see the interior if you have any pic's.
Tinkered with all kinds of stuff this weekend on my Sundial, getting it ready for octo. I finally finished installing the remote control head for my ham radio on a magnet, so it sticks to the dash/vent or wherever I want it. Also got the rear dome light working. Tightened up the clutch and brake pedals and vacuum bled the brakes. Adjusted the carbs and linkage & springs. Few other things I can't remember now are "fixed" up & cleaned too. |

I busted my ass at work to make enough money to afford to keep all my VWs, pay for insurance, gas, maintenance, and the few small parts I'm missing from them. Not to mention to afford to be able to go to the Classic this year and take a few days off of work so I can actually drive one of them to the event. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

Cleaning out the inside. Bug-bombed it recently to get rid of the ants & spiders.
60freak...let me know if you'd like to see more interior pics and I'll take some.

Got some plants moved in the yard, removed a section of fence, and trimmed back some shrubs in preparation for the concrete guys who come on Tuesday to dig the footers for the garage... where I shall store my bus in a proper environment. _________________ ITMC - Backyard chapter

Well I moved my single cab out of my wife’s garage and put it in the other garage, she was complaining she had dew on her back window; yea I'm whipped and I love it!
Also did notice another spot of rust on the SC....that's for you Joey, man those hinges look AWESOME!!! |

Completed the third test run to make sure the tranny and GRBs work on my '66SC - the first time it's been on the road under its own power since 1979 What's next? Drop the engine back out to clean it up and get it ready for the rest of the summer, and finish the body work so it's ready for paint over the winter. _________________ '67 Micro Bus
