Welcome Jon,
Did you do anything to the points?, is the coil getting current when you crank?

Get your hands on a test light or better yet a multimeter and start testing.

Also - if this is an FI model, check your wires on the starter terminal. Theres a couple there - one feeds the Fuel Pump, another goes to the Dual Relay. I had this problem when a couple of the wires came off. It would crank, but not start.

Jon,
This is a common issue with FI Buses. Coil wires are very easy to get mixed up. Do you have a bentley's manual? If not, get one immediately. If so, go to the wiring diagram.

Look at your coil. one post will have a "1" and the other is "15". Terminal 4 is the sparkplug wire in the middle.

The Bentleys says this
15 will have three black wires
1 from the fuse holder on the left side of the engine compartment
1 goes to terminal 86c on the double relay
1 goes to the fuse box
(ALSO RED PERTRONIX WIRE)
Terminal 1 has three wires also
1 is green that goes to the condenser (disregard if you have pertronix as the condenser will be gone)
1 is White and goes to pin 1 of the brain
1 is Gray/greenstripe and goes to test point 13 in the central plug
(ALSO BLACK WIRE FOR PERTRONIX)

Did he jump start it? I know it says in my Idiot guide & chiltons that if you jump it, the computer may die...
Good luck.

Sounds like when my points go out of adjustment. That sucker'll crank but not start up. It's easy to check anyway...
