I have 35mm intake and 32mm exhaust on the heads on my 1915.

Would a pair of weber IDF 40s with 28mm venturis work with my setup?
It is a street driven, every-day car. If not, what should I change?

I have a 1776 with 40idf on it - slightly larger valves, in a stock head - port matching and bowl blend by self.

The IDF's work fine, but I discovered that with teh 28vent's that getting jetting right was hard. The emulsion tube match was too far off, and once I switched to the 34vent's, everything started to work better.

I think you are ok, just go through the pain of dialing in. I found that the jets can get expenisve, and purchase of a set of vents up front would have saved me some.

Heads, cam, and displacement dictate most of what you need. Without knowing all these things, no one can tell you what you should have.

32's as large as I'd go - FK41 will not run a lot of RPM --> power, it makes a lot of torque though.. Keep the vents small and you will harness all the power area.

28mm vents will be all done pulling hard at 4000 RPM and will probably increase head temps a little at cruise on the highway.

50 idles, 125-120 mains and probably 200 air jets will work well for you at altitudes close to sea level.
